Your Research Journey
As you begin your research, think of it as a journey. The first step in any journey is deciding where to go. Here is a great organizer using the Big 6. The Big 6 is a research model designed by Mike Eisenberg and Bob Berkowitz.

- Make a plan. Where am I going?
- Decide where to search. What do I need to get there?
- Find sources and locate information. Get on the trail!
- Use the information. Walk, run, stop and look around, eat your lunch, keep going to the top.
- Organize your information. What important things did you see along the way? Put it all together!
- Evaluate your final product. Look back down the mountain. What could you have done differently?
